Professional Consultation
Dr. Fatter is an approved clinical IFS consultant and provides professional consultation to Level 1 trained IFS therapists and coaches towards IFS certification through the IFS Institute. I also provide IFS consultation to therapists and coaches who have not yet received Level 1 IFS training and/or are in the lottery to get into an IFS training.
Dr. Fatter practices from an anti-racist framework. Dr. Fatter strives to be open and affirming of individuals of every background, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, and ability status.

For almost two decades, I have studied both Buddhist and Taoist meditation traditions and have professionally published on mindfulness. I have served as an ad-doc reviewer with expertise in the area of mindfulness from 2011-2013 for the Journal of Counseling Psychology, European Journal of Counseling Psychologist, Psychotherapy and the Mindfulness Journal. I have taught mindfulness meditation at the Southern Methodist University, the University of Colorado at Boulder, The Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Tennessee Knoxville as well as for private groups.

Work Experience as Psychologist
- Private Practice in McKinney, Texas since 2016.
- Webinar Instructor, on trauma treatment offering continuing education live and on demand webinars for mental health providers, since 2016.
- Former Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator at the Fort Worth Veteran Affairs Outpatient clinic.
- In total, Dr. Fatter has provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings including university counseling centers, a hospital inpatient clinic, and outpatient clinics.

Post Doctoral Fellowship
- Post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at the Trauma Center, an affiliate of the Boston University School of Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, MD. During my postdoctoral fellowship, I completed a nine-month training program in Traumatic Stress Studies, managed a pilot study on using neurofeedback to help treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and also provided individual psychotherapy patients with complex PTSD.
